Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Truence ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service / End-User License Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to use Truence for business analytics and financial insights. This is a license, not a transfer of ownership.

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, or distribute the software
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the system
  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to bypass security or system restrictions
  • Use automated scraping methods outside approved APIs

3. Third-Party Integrations

Truence integrates with third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

E-commerce

  • Shopify
  • Amazon

Advertising

  • Meta (FB/IG)
  • Google Ads
  • TikTok Ads

Financial

  • Stripe
  • Plaid
  • QuickBooks

By connecting these platforms:

  • You authorize Truence to access your accounts via secure OAuth authentication
  • You grant permission to retrieve data including transactions, orders, ad performance, and financial records
  • You agree to comply with the terms and policies of each connected platform
  • Truence is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these platforms

4. Data Access and Usage

Truence operates primarily as a read-only analytics platform.

We may:

  • Retrieve and process data from connected platforms
  • Store data for analytics, forecasting, and reporting
  • Combine data across multiple sources

We will not:

  • Modify or delete your third-party data unless authorized
  • Sell your data to unauthorized third parties

5. Financial Data & Accounting Integrations

By connecting financial services such as Stripe, Plaid, and QuickBooks:

  • You authorize Truence to access financial data including transactions, payouts, reports, and account balances
  • Data is used strictly for reconciliation, analytics, forecasting, and reporting
  • Truence does not act as a financial institution, payment processor, or accounting firm
  • Truence does not initiate transactions or modify financial records unless explicitly stated

6. No Financial or Investment Advice

Truence provides analytics, insights, and predictive models based on available data.

  • All outputs are for informational purposes only
  • Truence does not provide financial, accounting, legal, or investment advice
  • No prediction or insight is guaranteed

You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the Service.

7. Read-Only and Limited Control Policy

Unless explicitly stated:

  • Truence does not create, edit, or delete ads, orders, or financial data
  • Truence does not control campaigns, budgets, or account settings
  • Truence does not access personal customer data beyond what is necessary for analytics

8. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security and credentials
  • Ensuring proper authorization of connected platforms
  • All activity under your account
  • Disconnecting access when team members leave

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems
  • Upload malicious code or software
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Misrepresent data or identity

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Truence does not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of third-party data
  • Completeness of analytics or predictions
  • Continuous or uninterrupted service

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Truence shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Data inaccuracies or discrepancies
  • Business interruptions
  • Decisions made based on analytics or predictions

12. Accuracy of Data

Truence relies on third-party platforms for data.

  • Errors or delays may occur
  • Data discrepancies may arise between platforms

13. Data Storage & Processing

  • Secure Storage: Data from connected platforms may be stored and processed securely.
  • Purpose: Data is used to provide analytics, forecasting, and reporting features.
  • Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect user data.

14. Service Modifications

Truence reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to violations of this Agreement. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

16. Payment Terms (If Applicable)

For paid accounts, the following applies:

  • Subscription fees, billing cycles, and refund policies are governed by your selected plan.
  • Failure to pay may result in immediate suspension of access.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
