What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which hold small amounts of data in the browser rather than on our servers. Truence uses these only to keep you signed in, to keep the session secure, and to remember basic interface state.

Strictly necessary cookies and storage

These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off through a preference control, because without them sign-in and session security do not work.

• Authentication and session tokens, set when you sign in, so your workspace stays open across pages. Held in browser storage for the life of the session and refreshed while you remain signed in; cleared when you sign out.
• Security and abuse-prevention values used to protect the sign-in flow and to prevent request forgery. Session duration.
• Interface state, such as the last view you had open. Stored locally in your browser and never sent to an advertising network.

Analytics and performance

Truence currently runs no analytics or performance cookies. There is no Google Analytics or GA4 property, no Google Tag Manager container, no Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn insight tag, no Hotjar, and no other product-analytics or session-recording script on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before the technology is enabled, and the categories and retention periods will be named here.

Third-party requests that are not tracking cookies

Two third-party services receive a network request when you load the site. Neither sets an advertising cookie and neither is used to profile you.

• Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site. Your browser requests the font files from Google's font servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
• Plaid is used only inside the product, when you choose to connect a bank. Plaid's own interface runs its own security and session technologies during that connection flow, under Plaid's policies.

How you control cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and clear local storage from its settings, usually under Privacy or Site Settings. You can block or clear Truence's cookies at any time. Because the only cookies we set are strictly necessary, blocking them will sign you out and prevent the application from working, but it will not affect the marketing pages.

Global Privacy Control

Truence recognises the Global Privacy Control signal. Because Truence does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is no advertising activity for a GPC signal to stop. If Truence ever introduces advertising technology, GPC signals will be treated as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing at the browser level, automatically and without any further action from you.

Do we sell or share personal information?

No. Truence does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA and under comparable US state privacy laws. Because there is no sale or sharing, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is required, and none is offered as a placeholder.

The categories of personal information collected through this site and the application, the purposes for each, and the retention approach are as follows. This information is not sold, not shared for advertising, and is disclosed only to the service providers listed on the Data Processing and Sub-processors page.

• Identifiers, such as name, work email, company name, and IP address. Purpose: creating and securing your account, responding to enquiries, and protecting the service.
• Commercial and financial information from systems you choose to connect, such as orders, payouts, fees, refunds, advertising spend, and bank transaction records. Purpose: producing the verified views you asked for.
• Internet or network activity, limited to diagnostic and reliability information about the application. Purpose: keeping the service available and secure.
• Retention: connected data is kept while your workspace is active so historical periods stay verifiable, and is deleted or de-identified on request except where retention is legally required.
• Sensitive personal information is not used for inferring characteristics, and no personal information is used for automated profiling that produces legal effects.
