Privacy Policy

Truence exists to give business owners a trustworthy view of their own money. That mission only works if the data behind it is handled carefully. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it.

Information we collect

Truence collects the business data you choose to connect, plus the account details needed to operate your workspace.

  • Business records from systems you connect, such as orders, payouts, fees, refunds, advertising spend, and bank transaction data.
  • Account information such as name, work email, company, and workspace settings.
  • Product usage and diagnostic information used to keep the service reliable and secure.

How connections work

Bank connections are established through Plaid using your bank's own authentication. Commerce, payment, and advertising connections use each provider's authorized access model. Truence requests read access only. Truence cannot move, hold, transfer, or disburse money, and does not write changes back into your connected systems.

How we use information

We use connected data to produce the verified views you asked for: revenue, profit, marketing performance, accounting records, forecasts, and agent-originated sales. We also use it to support you, to secure the service, and to meet legal obligations.

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not share your business data with advertisers.
  • We do not use your identifiable business data to market to your customers.

Sharing with service providers

We rely on a limited set of providers to deliver the service, including data connectivity and cloud hosting. These providers act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Truence and its users.

Data retention and deletion

We retain connected data for as long as your workspace is active, so historical periods remain verifiable. You can disconnect any data source at any time, which stops future collection from that source. You can request deletion of your workspace data by contacting Support@truence.com, and we will delete or de-identify it except where retention is legally required.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service, and credentials for connected systems are handled through each provider's authorization flow rather than stored as plain passwords. Security questions are welcome at Support@truence.com.

Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your account information, object to certain processing, and withdraw a connection at any time. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply. Contact Support@truence.com and we will respond to verified requests.

Children

Truence is a business product and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify workspace administrators. Continued use of Truence after an update means you accept the revised policy.
